EPISODE 012: Guest Dave Brandwein, the cofounder, principal lyricist, lead guitarist and vocalist for the 9-piece funk band, Turkuaz, is now a solo artist playing under the moniker, Band For Sale. In his journey, he has endured some pretty extreme and unforeseen circumstances in these past few years, which has changed his life in many ways. After years of being hyper-focused in his role as Turkuaz’s main man, Brandwein was blindsided by the sudden mass exodus of the band members who announced their departure on social media with Dave being one of the last to know. Having personal problems of his own, like addiction and sobriety, divorce, and being faced with the pandemic, didn’t help his situation but was ultimately what he needed to pivot and find a new direction in his life and his music.
