Pete Williams

Mayor, City of Riverside

Pete Williams is the fourth Mayor of Riverside, Ohio. First elected in November 2019, he was re-elected in November 2023 for a second four-year term. He and his wife, Becca, are proud residents of Riverside, where they are raising their three sons. The family is actively involved in the community, with their children attending St. Helen School and the family attending St. Helen Parish.

With 20 years of experience in Urban Planning and Economic Development, Pete has made significant contributions to the region. He has served on the boards of Dayton Defense, the

Wright-Patterson Community Partnership Initiative, and JobsOhio West. In 2019, he was honored as one of the region’s Top 40 Young Professionals Under 40 by the Dayton Business Journal and is an alumnus of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce Leadership

Dayton program. In 2024, he was recognized in the inaugural class of the Regional Aerospace and Defense Awards. Currently, he serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Dayton & #39;s Public Administration Graduate Program and is the Vice Chair of the County Wide Expansion Initiative for Welcome Dayton.

Pete has also been active on various local chamber boards and organizations. He served as Vice President of the Friends of the Dayton Metro Library, Executive Secretary to the Board of Dayton Defense, Development Chair for the American Veterans Heritage Center at the Dayton VA, and on the Dayton Regional Military Collaborative Leadership Council.

He works at Archbishop Carroll High School, his alma mater, in Riverside as the Director of Advancement.

Pete was the second born in a family of 5 kids and raised in the East Side of Dayton in the World-Famous Belmont Neighborhood. He attended Eastmont Elementary in the Dayton Public School District for Preschool and Kindergarten before moving to St. Helen for 1st Grade through 8th Grade. He graduated Archbishop Carroll High School in 1998, attended Sinclair Community College before transferring to the University of Dayton and graduating UD in 2003 with a Degree in Political Science followed by a Masters of Public Administration in 2007.
