Melanie Aregger is the CEO and co-founder of Avelo. A natural-born entrepreneur with experience in the diagnostics, medical device, and biotech industry. She recharges while running marathons in the high Alps or going on racecations – taking part in running races.
Avelo is a Swiss startup that develops AveloCollect, a breath aerosol collector. They aim at detecting tuberculosis and lower respiratory tract infections, the ones that cause pneumonia – from the breath. No nasal swab, no sputum, no blood sample. Just breathe into a tube.
