Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist bringing you the latest forecast for Austin, Texas.
Let's dive right in: Tonight, we're looking at a cloudy evening with temperatures dipping to a mild 65 degrees. Expect a gentle south southeast wind blowing around 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Moving into Tuesday, we'll see mostly cloudy skies with temperatures climbing to a comfortable 76 degrees. The south wind will be keeping things light at around 5 miles per hour.
Now, here's where things get interesting! Tuesday night brings a high chance of rain - we're talking showers and possibly thunderstorms before midnight, with continued shower potential until 3 in the morning. Temperatures will drop to around 54 degrees, and we're expecting between half an inch to three quarters of an inch of rainfall. Pack that umbrella, folks!
Christmas Day looks like a mixed bag - mostly cloudy early on, but gradually clearing to sunshine. The high will reach about 68 degrees with a light north northwest wind.
The rest of the week looks relatively mild, with a potential for scattered showers on Thursday and a slim chance of rain on Friday. Temperatures will hover in the low to mid 70s, with nights cooling down to the upper 40s and low 50s.
