Accepting health situations, and aging associated physical and emotional changes - as they are - is a practice that is both hard and helpful.

  • Trust the process - believe It is all playing out as it should

  • Don't be angry with your body - the journey is better if you and your body are friends

  • Slow down enough to listen to your body

  • Pause to notice your thoughts and notice whether they are helpful or not helpful

  • Support yourself well - practice mindfulness and get coaching

  • Tell yourself good stories

  • Choose your path through using intention, attitude, attention

  • Step out of victimhood

  • Stay in the moment

  • Stay out of comparative suffering, urgency, rumination, and worry

  • Focus on what is in your control and let go of what is not

  • Remember there is no right way (even when others tell you what you “should do.” )

  • Accept and allow how you feel and validate your own experience

  • Treat the situation with loving amusement

  • When you make a decision, have your own back
