Two of her recent novels, Hearts and Minds and The Golden Rule were long-listed for the Women's Prize for Fiction, and The Lie of the Land was made into a Radio 4 ‘Book At Bedtime’. She writes, she says to “afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted.”
