My name is Darcy Lee, I am the owner of the online greeting card shop, Hail the Snail Mail. I also have a subscription that sends 4 greeting cards and a gift curated by me each month. I owned a brick and mortar store for 20 years in San Francisco, when I closed it was clear that what was missed the most was the cards section. By committing myself and pivoting into this niche I have learned the value of writing via pen and paper. This pivot has been a gift that I never expected. There are many benefits from sending mail the old fashioned way, time away from screens and sounds, creative connection with loved ones, a reason to write on beautiful paper and the magic of placing a stamp on an envelope and knowing someone will read your words in a few days.
