Amulette waren in der gesamten islamischen Welt verbreitet. Mal dienten sie zum Schutz, mal zur Heilung und auch mal zum Schaden. Neben diversen Formaten bieten die Bilder und Texte auf Amuletten spannende Einblicke in ihre Anwendung sowie kulturelle Überschneidungen – so zum Beispiel für den iranischen Raum zwischen der Spätantike und ca. dem 13. Jh., über den uns Dr. Sarah Kiyanrad von der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in München erzählt.
