In this episode, I'm joined by Edmonton Firefighter Daisy VanRavenswaay - one of a handful of female fire fighters in Edmonton and a leader for Camp Inspire! Camp Inspire is an opportunity for women and gender-diverse individuals to work alongside members of Edmonton Fire Rescue Services, ask questions and meet others interested in the firefighting profession.
This camp:
Provides women and gender-diverse individuals from communities of all backgrounds an introduction to the fire service in a safe, inclusive way
Provides simulated fire ground training
Fosters leadership skills in a supportive environment
Strengthens self-esteem and builds confidence!
