Engagement is a critical aspect of personal branding that many overlook. A 2024 LinkedIn survey found that professionals who actively engage with their network—whether at work or in their social networks—see a 40% increase in opportunities.
But it’s not just about visibility, but about meaningful interactions. Reflect on the interactions you are having right now. Are they meaningful, or are you just going through the motions? Many professionals struggle with building genuine engagement due to the overwhelming volume of connections and messages, especially in digital spaces like LinkedIn. To forge meaningful connections, focus on being human, authentic, and present in your interactions.
