This is a special podcast from the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors’s 2019 Chronic Disease Academy. Dr. Jewell Mullen of Dell Medical School moderates a panel on “Traversing the Data Frontier.” Panelists include: Carol Hall Waller, of the Rhode Island Department of Health; Brian King of CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion; Dr. Mehul Dalal of the Connecticut Department of Health; Karen Girard of the Oregon Health Authority. The panelists will discuss the practical applications of incorporating traditional and nontraditional data sources into chronic disease prevention work. They will share examples of successful projects from state health departments in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Oregon.
