- 1.) Once denial and fear have subdued, now anger sets in.
- 3 Types of Anger (Which one is or was you?)
- Passive Aggression - Angry but doesn’t like confrontation. You may find yourself sulking, procrastinating (putting stuff off you need to do), and pretending “everything is fine”. A need to be in CONTROL!!!
- Open Aggression - Lashing out in anger and rage. Aggressive Verbally or Physically. Hurting YOU or your Ex. You may find yourself fighting, bullying, blackmailing, accusing, shouting, bickering, sarcasm, and criticism. A need to be in CONTROL!!!
- Assertive Anger - A healthier way to deal with anger. You may find yourself being controlled and confident, talking and listening, and open to help. Helping to come to a resolution. Listening is not just to be heard but to truly LISTEN. Demonstrate that you are mature and care about a healthy outcome. You are more open to FORGIVE even if you have not quite forgotten.
- Anger can be misdirected and overly expressed
- Directing your anger toward your spouse
- Close-up from family and friends.
- Hating setting in for your Ex (Lord says not to be bitter we let get to your heart)
- Question your faith and
- Find yourself asking, “Why me?”
- Cutting off all ties that look feel or trigger a connection to your ex-spouse.
