Today we’re talking about women in business, specifically setting up your own business. At the end of 2023, The Guardian reported a record number of talented but fed-up and frustrated women were leaving traditional jobs to open their own businesses.
And in the US, a study by Wells Fargo showed that “the number of women-owned businesses between 2019 and 2023 increased at nearly double the rate of those owned by men, and from 2022 to 2023 the rate of growth increased four-fold.”
Women are focused, hungry and simply smashing it in new business ventures. And yet….when we look at how those new businesses are established and funded….the rosy picture changes dramatically. And is it all about the money?
No, says Christine Walsh, author and financial coach, success really lies in the mindset as the core foundation bolstered by practical building blocks to get going.
