Menstruation affects many in the LGBTIQA+ community, including transgender men and non-binary individuals, who face unique challenges. Menstruation can worsen gender dysphoria and mental health issues, as it reminds them of a body part that doesn't match their gender identity. They also struggle with accessing menstrual products and healthcare because these are often geared towards cisgender women. Social stigma and isolation make it hard for them to talk about their experiences or seek help. To support them better, we need inclusive education, awareness campaigns, healthcare training, gender-neutral products, and community support. Recognizing and addressing their needs is crucial for a more inclusive society. In this episode of Gulabi Sambad, we're focusing on menstruation within the queer community and the challenges they face in maintaining menstrual hygiene.
