Did you know that April is Stress Awareness Month? In 1992, the government wanted to raise awareness of the causes and cures of the modern-day stress epidemic. Hence, the observance of Stress Awareness Month.

Prolonged stress undoubtedly leads to serious illness. It is known to contribute to heart disease and hypertension. It affects the immune system and is also linked to other health issues. So how can we cope with everyday stress?

Stress isn’t avoidable, but it is manageable. A key action to minimize risk is identifying stress-related problems as early as possible, so we can take action before serious stress-related illness occurs.
