Untamed and undomesticated, there is a little bit of wildling in all of us. At least I hope there is. Wild as the wind, tumultuous as the sea and never allowing anyone to do just that; tame her...this is the Greek Goddess Artemis. Independent and self-reliant, Artemis was the true meaning of "wildling". So it is no surprise why my alter ego took on this name. As someone who wants the same for the female "species" as an entirety, Artemis Chaney keeps her "eye on the prize" no matter what direction she is going in. Strength and wisdom are her own and not defined by the expectations of others. The daily struggles of life can be exhausting and sometimes a feeling of hopelessness can take control of your entire self-worth. And trust me, I know it's friggen hard to fight that feeling. So out comes the wildling in me and following the creed of Artemis, well what can I say? It helps. Join me on this night for a show of motivation, inspiration and most importantly, the determination as Artemis Chaney helps me plow through some of my obstacles.
