When the woman at the well encountered Jesus she had to share Him. Jesus was attractive to these "outcasts" and wanted to hear what He had to say. They quickly become believers. This should make us pause, if we are sharing Jesus correctly, shouldn't people be interested, hungry and thirsty? Did we meet Jesus in kindness, grace, and love or harsh demands?
For human flourishing we need to attend to our mind, body, spirit and heart. In this example Jesus talks about feeding our Spirit by being attuned and connected to the Father. When we live out the good works God has called us into, we can feel full. We talk about the balance between serving and saying yes, but also when we need to take a break. Balance is missing in the dialogue of our world, and we need to find the healthy balance and rhythms of life.
