Guy Spier is a Legendary Zurich-based Value Investor, CEO of Aquamarine Capital, and Author of the best-selling book 'The Education of a Value Investor' Website: https://www.aquamarinefund.com/

What do real value investors who are sitting on their Warren Buffett portfolio while chilling in Switzerland and not caring about social media comments have to say? What is value investing? Is value investing dead? Is the Warren Buffett Investment Strategy stupid? And if not, what's the best way to go about your value investing strategy in this economic climate? In Guy Spier's own words... "I run the Aquamarine Fund which is an investment partnership closely modeled on the original Buffett Partnerships, investing primarily in equities.

In 2014 I published a book titled, "The Education of a Value Investor" which has sold more than 50,000 copies in English and has been translated into German, Spanish, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Polish, and Vietnamese amongst other languages. Investors in my fund include friends and family, high net worth individuals, their family offices, private banks investing on behalf of their clients, and even some institutional investors and pension funds. One of my best learning experiences to date was my $650,000 lunch with Warren Buffett, on which Mohnish Pabrai and I successfully bid and won in 2007. Investors and business leaders that I admire include my father, Seth Klarman, Joel Greenblatt, Li Lu, John Mihaljevic, Thomas Edison, Mahatma Gandhi, Edward Shackleton, Marcus Aurelius, Anthony Robbins, Don Keough, Charlie Munger. My Investment process includes using checklists - as was written up in Atul Gawande's book, "The Checklist Manifesto"." Guy Spier is a Zurich-based investor and the author of The Education of a Value Investor.

Since 1997, he has managed Aquamarine’s privately offered investment funds. Guy previously worked as an investment banker in New York and as a management consultant in London and Paris. He has an MBA from the Harvard Business School, class of 1993, and holds a First Class degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University. On graduating from Oxford, he was co-awarded the George Webb Medley prize for the best performance that year in economics. Guy currently lives in Switzerland with his wife and their three children. In this episode of the Invest Diva Movement, you're basically going to sit down with someone who doesn't need your money, is someone who's literally had lunch with Warren Buffett, and is creating generational wealth for his family. So he's someone you definitely need to pay close attention to, and towards the end of this video, he's going to reveal how he remains consistent with his strategy and how you can do it too.
