We sit down the amazing Erika Buenaflor to chat about her new book, Veneration Rites of Curanderismo. Erika Buenaflor, M.D., J.D., has a masters degree in religious studies with a focus on Mesoamerican shamanism from the University of California at Riverside. She is a practicing curandera for over 20 years, a descended from a line of grandmother curanderas, she has studied with curananderx in Mexico, Peru, Los Angeles, and gives presentations on curanderismo in many settings. She is the author of several books including: The Cleansing Rites of Curanderismo, Soul Retrieval, among many others.
