In this episode of the Travel Squad Podcast, we take you on an unforgettable journey through the land of fire and ice —beautiful Iceland.
Our adventure begins in the vibrant capital city of Reykjavik, where we marvel at the iconic Hallgrimskirkja Church, stroll down the colorful Rainbow Road, and take in the stunning Sun Voyager sculpture along the waterfront. From Reykjavik, we venture into the heart of Iceland's Golden Circle. At Thingvellir National Park, we explore the fascinating geological formations and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of the Silfra Fissure. Continuing along the Golden Circle, we witness the power of Geysir Strokkur's eruptions and the majestic beauty of Gullfoss Waterfalls.
As we head towards the southern coast, we base ourselves in the charming village of Vik. Here, we encounter some of Iceland's most spectacular natural wonders. We hike to the top of Skogafoss for breathtaking views, walk behind the cascading waters of Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabú, and observe puffins up close at Dyrholaey's sea cliffs. Our exploration of the southern coast includes the dramatic black sand beaches of Reynisdrangar, the stunning Fjadrargljufur Canyon, the hidden gem of Mulagljufur Canyon, and the enchanting Svartifoss waterfall. The journey culminates with a visit to the famous Diamond Beach and the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, where we take a thrilling zodiac boat tour to get up close to the icebergs and glaciers.
