Join us for another episode as we discuss the potential of Transport for the North's Northern Transport Charter to deliver a New North at the Labour North West Regional Conference in Blackpool, with panel members talking about how the region is working together to achieve change. We also discuss the recent publication of the Integrated Rail Plan, the Government's document which sets out how Northern Powerhouse Rail will be integrated with HS2. We also hear how the Devolution White Paper is a huge opportunity to give more say to local areas about how funding is spent on transport and other public services. On the panel was Councillor Louise Gittins (Interim TfN Chair and Leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council), Councillor Lynn Williams (Leader of Blackpool Council and TfN Board Member) and Marcus Johns (Research Fellow at IPPR North).
