We have a special episode that is not only raw but also very real. Our friend, colleague, and co-host of This Humana Life, Tara De Lucia, is here to tell our listeners her personal feelings on experiencing a RIF. For those that are not familiar with the acronym RIF, it means - reduction in force. A (RIF) occurs when a position is eliminated with no intention of replacing it and results in a permanent cut in headcount. An employer may decide to reduce its workforce by terminating employees or by means of attrition. So, in real-time – as we speak, Tara is part of a department that is being RIF’d. Tara, in her grace and infinite wisdom, has requested to share with our listeners her heartfelt thoughts and positive outlook at the future.
