Raised on a sharecropping plantation in Northern Florida, Ray Charles Robinson went blind at the age of seven, shortly after witnessing his younger brother drown. Let’s pause for a minute, can you imagine what that must have felt like to not only lose your sight; but to have a memory of your younger brother drowning as the lasting memory when you had sight.
