In this episode, I talk about what I generally do to narrow down my research on stocks. With the yahoo finance screener being glitchy this morning, I decided to try out this new screener called FinVis and it's been doing great. Rule of thumb for any investments is to stay within your circle of competence as Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger have stated multiple times in their annual meeting. Begin with what you know, have experience in, are interested in learning about, and/or are competent in the overall understanding of the industry to begin your research. The stock screeners are a great tool to help reduce the excess information that we are bombarded everyday with and keeps them focused and to your personal taste. Highly Recommend.
