The model Jesus used for community care was GIVING. Not taking. Never in His ministry did he teach that it was the government's job to take and redistribute your money. Jesus taught us to freely give, not by compulsion, but with a happy heart. In fact, Jesus taught that it was wise to invest and to create more wealth.
