I could not love the final episode of Season 3 of the podcast more. My lovely friend Lynn Cowell joined me to deep dive into Psalm 46:10 and we enjoyed studying this verse together:
“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth” (NIV).
We discussed:
- That Psalms are songs and we should approach them with music in mind
- A few different translations and a paraphrase of the verse
- What we learn about God from the entirety of Psalm 46
- Definitions of the words still, know, and exalt
- A few commentaries and how they are meant to be read after your own study (not first)
- Our own personal transformation after studying this Psalm in depth
- The message of her book co-authored with Michelle Nietert, Managing Your Emojis: 100 Devotions for Navigating Your Feelings
