ABOUT THIS EPISODE
This episode comes with a smell of smoking wood, sounds of fire and echoes of Tribal elders from forgotten times!
Ya'Acov Darling Khan, is a UK based Shaman, Author and Movement facilitator and the right person to talk about subjects that interest me a lot!
We talked about Shamanism and what it is to be a Shaman in the 21st century, about Movement and his project Movement Medicine, about his personal experiences and his books but also about the importance and the usage of the Shamanic Drum!
At a young age Ya'Acov has been struck by a lightning on a golf course and that has been an awakening that changed his life forever! He has three decades of studies and practice with spiritual teachers and elder Shamans from the Sami (European Tradition), Achuar and Sapara people of the Amazon Forest.
For 18 years he has apprenticed with Gabrielle Roth, the founder of the 5 Rhythms movements, and for many years he is travelling around the world with his wife Susannah with whom they run together the School of Movement Medicine and they share their practices.
Ya'Acov is the author of the best selling "Jaguar in the Body, Butterfly in the Heart" which is a must-read for anyone wanting to come closer to a real down-to-earth story of a Shamanic initiation through the experiences of a man living in a modern world!
