In the realms of law and literature, few have managed to carve such an impactful career as Judge Teri Thompson. With a legal career that spans over 30 years, Teri has advocated for both children and adults in juvenile and federal courts. She has been at the forefront of some of the most high-stakes legal battles in the federal courts across the United States, including the Virgin Islands.
Prior to being appointed as an Associate Judge in 2022, she became the founder and owner of her own law firm, TERI THOMPSON, LLC, where she is dedicated to representing those facing the death penalty around the country. Beyond the courtroom, Teri is an adjunct profesor in criminal law and she instructs attorneys on being trial attorneys. In 2023, she founded ZELLA PUBLISHING LLC where she amplifies and empowers Black children to embrace abd celebrate their identities.
