For years the rule has been, "Can I Pet Your Dog?" Then the dog is approached and petted by a person... But is that enough? Should the dog have a say in this scenario, and if so, how do we do that? What if the dog is fearful, reactive not fond of men or kids? I think it is time we rethink the "Can I Pet Your Dog?" routine, and we start that discussion in the podcast!
