Catholic Church History seems to be prefigured by the Old Testament in Chronological order! See Vatican II prefigured by the Books of the Machabees. The story starts with Alexander the Great and his conquest of the ancient world. After he died suddenly, his empire was divided into 4 parts. The Seleucid kingdom took the Temple and set up a second altar on which they placed the "abomination of desolation."
