Obi Wan Kenobi is one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars universe. He is a Jedi Master and a General in the Rebel Alliance. He is also one of the few characters to appear in all three of the Star Wars trilogies.

Born on the planet Stewjon (I remembered it!), Obi Wan was taken to Coruscant to be trained as a Jedi by Master Yoda. He became a Padawan under the tutelage of Qui Gon Jinn and served with him for many years. When Qui Gon was killed by Darth Maul, Obi Wan defeated Maul and took on his former master's apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, as his own.

Obi Wan served the Republic for many years, until Anakin turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader. Obi Wan fought Vader in a duel on Mustafar and was left for dead. He went into exile on Tatooine, where he watched over Luke Skywalker, Anakin's son. When the Empire began a massive attack on the Rebel Alliance, Obi Wan came out of retirement to help Luke destroy the Death Star. He then continued to fight against the Empire, until he was killed by Darth Vader on the planet Endor.
