The Witches of Pendle Hill. Were they witches? Did they commit the crimes that they were convicted of. Their famous trial in 1612 is one of the best documented legal cases of the time and it saw many of them put to death after suffering in the squalid conditions of jail. It's a story that began with a simple altercation. But it's a story that we don't feel qualified enough to tell...so we drafted in an expert.
