The word ’Snekeneke’ is a nickname for Thulani, well known as Snake Park, a small informal settlement situated in the far west of Soweto, close to Braamfischer, Dobsonville, Lefureng, Slovo and Tshepisong. Snekeneke podcast focuses on positive and motivational stories that are happening within the community of Snake Park. Thulani community is a bit older than the South African democracy; some say it’s old as Mandela’s release in 1990. Snekeneke residents are faced with similar challenges as most South African Townships. Challenges like Teenage pregnancy, Substance abuse, Crime and lack of skill centre to equip the community with skills. We are just telling good stories and exposing greatness.
