FORTUNE COOKIE: “The path to evil may bring great power, but not loyalty.” In this episode, Ventress and Savage Opress attack Dooku but he gets away. Opress returns to Mother Talzin who tells him to find his long-lost and exiled brother who will teach him how to become a powerful warrior. With his mission set, Opress leaves. Talzin then turns to her crystal orb where a fractured image of Maul materializes. This was part of the arc that was shown at the touring Clone Wars screenings in 2011. We break down issue 51: Resurrection of Evil from June 1981! There is a new super weapon being constructed called the Tarkin. Our heroes are sent to bring down this technological terror, and at the same time there is a plot within the Empire to kill Darth Vader! In the past, Marvel has tied-in Kenner action figures and playsets. Is that what they are doing here with the Scout Walker vehicle? Or was it because they wanted to feature the cool 2-legged walker seen in The Empire Strikes Back for 2 seconds. Today in Star Wars History Disney+ streams the episode, “Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa” from The Book of Boba Fett which Guest stars Danny Trejo as the Rancor Keeper. (Does Danny Trejo make an appearance in this episode’s Marvel comic?) In “The Streets of Mos Espa” the Hutt Twins come to Boba Fett’s palace and offer their apologies for sending Black Krrsantan to kill him. This Book of Boba Fett episode also features the BEST Behind the scenes Easter Egg ever! During the speeder chase where the mods were pursuing the Mayor’s majordomo, one of the mods crashes through a Ralph McQuarrie painting of Jabba’s court from Return of the Jedi. #51 “RESURRECTION OF EVIL" Release Date: June 16, 1981 Writer: David Michelinie Artwork: Walt Simonson, Tom Palmer Cover Art: Walt Simonson General Rieekan receives word from Rebel spies that the Galactic Empire is constructing a new superweapon known as the Tarkin. The Rebel heroes are sent to infiltrate the Tarkin, however Darth Vader observes as they arrive and sets events in motion to capture his long sought after adversary, Luke Skywalker. But little does the Dark Lord know that some of his own men are secretly plotting against him due to his vicious punishments imposed against their fellow Imperial officers.
