When 8-year-old Virginia O’Hanlon sends a letter to the editor of the New York Sun newspaper asking if there is really a Santa Claus, she didn’t realize what a thoughtful response she would receive back. This letter is the most reprinted editorial in any newspaper in the English language and usually appears during the Christmas season.
