Susanna Hoffs talks with Kyle Meredith about releasing The Lost Record, an album she recorded in 1999 that has remained unheard until now. She reflects on creating music with members of the Tuesday Night Music Club and the vibrant, collaborative energy that shaped this collection. Hoffs shares stories about tracks like “Under a Cloud” and “Who Will She Be,” as well as her surprise at finding her handwritten cassette of Prince’s “Manic Monday” with a mysterious second track, “Jealous Girl,” which Prince originally intended for The Bangles but was never recorded by the band. She also touches on her journey into writing novels, her evolving archive of unreleased music, and hints that more of her hidden gems might surface in the future.
