Pioneers of Country December 30, 2011 We begin with “Tain't Nice (To Talk Like That)” by The Carlisles. “San Antonio Stroll” by Tanya Tucker is next. Here's a big one - “Heaven's Just a Sin Away” by The Kendalls. Dave gives a bit of history of The Kendalls. Next is David Aiken, A.K.A. “Stringbean”, then Slim Dusty sings about The Redback on the Toilet Seat. Shelby Fredrick "Sheb" Wooley is next with 38-24-35! Next we hear "Thank God and Greyhound", a song made famous by American country musician Roy Clark. “King of the Road” by Roger Miller appears on his 1965 album which we hear next. Randy Travis – Is It Still Over? Is next. That's the first 30 minutes – There's 143 minutes to go of real country music. They were forgotten by The Country Music Industry, Country Radio, and even The Grand Ole Opry – Pioneers of Country proudly remember those artists, and the music they made popular. Special Note: Most of the E-Mail, chat room, and web sites mentioned no longer exist. Your best bet to keep in contact with Pioneers Of Country is on Pod-O-Matic or on our Facebook Page.
