We are in a message series looking at the "Full Armor of God" passage from Ephesians 6. Paul instructs us to, "Stand firm then… with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace" in verse 15. Shoes (more like sandals) enabled the soliders to travel further, move and fight with greater traction and stand longer and stronger. The Christian wearing God's spiritual armor seeks to bring peace with God. Isaiah 52:7 says, "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns." This Sunday we will have communion and be encouraged to boldy share the Gospel of Peace and Salvation as we purposely move forward in the "footwear" God has provided.

“The Gospel of Peace—Stand Firm Christ”
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News (Gospel)
so that you will be fully prepared. Ephesians 6:15

A. Be CLEAR when Sharing the Gospel (1 Cor. 15:1-11 )

1. Sharing who Jesus is

a. Jesus is the Bread of Life (John 6:35)

b. Jesus is the Way, Truth and Life and the only way to the Father (John 14:6)

c. Jesus is the Light of the World (John 8:12)

d. Jesus invites you to come to Him (Matthew 11:28)

2. Sharing the need for Jesus using the Romans Road

a. Romans 3:23 - Our Sin

b. Romans 5:8 - God’s Love

c. Romans 6:23 - God’s Gift

d. Romans 10:9-10, 13 - Our Response

B. Be Prepared to Share the 5 Essentials of the Gospel
1. All are sinners and therefore lost

2. God loves the sinner but must punish the sin

3. No one can save themselves by any means

4. Christ has provided for our salvation

5. The sinner must personally accept by faith God’s provision
of salvation

C. Be Motivated to Share—It is Truly Good News

1. Rescuing Others (Jude 1:23)

2. Transforming Lives (Romans 1:16; 2 Corinthians 3:18)

3. Building Relationships (1 Corinthians 9:22-23)

4. Praying for Opportunities (Ephesians 6:19)

5. Standing Firm in the Faith (1 Corinthians 15:58, 16:13)
