Recordamos algunas de las piezas o artistas más interesantes, exitosos o llamativos de aquella relación que se produjo en la segunda mitad de los años 50 entre el rocknroll y el género del terror. Principalmente fueron canciones de espíritu novelty -cómicas, humorísticas, con voces impostadas-, coincidieron con los años de la fiebre del baile y estuvieron muy asociadas al cine, la televisión y los más míticos monstruos del terror. Se las etiqueta como Horror Rock'n'Roll o música de Halloween y su edad dorada duró hasta la llegada de la Invasión Británica.
