The unprecedented resignation of Justin Welby - the Archbishop of Canterbury - has prompted calls for more church leaders to step down over their own roles in the Church of England's coverup of a prolific child abuser. A damning report into the actions of church barrister John Smyth, found that Archbishop Welby "could and should" have reported his abuse of more than 130 boys and young men to police, back in 2013.
