When you have been around the Chicago music scene as a musician and bartender as much as Barry Brown, you tend to gain some stories throughout the years. He is a longtime Chicagoan having lived, worked, and played mostly in Lincoln Park for 25 years.
Now lives in Ottawa, IL right on the Fox River.
Has met some famous musicians/people including Bob Weir, Vince Welnick, Roger Daltry (almost), and Bob Saget.
He’s bartended at Tonic Room, Windy City Inn, Griffin’s, and others.
Loves to eat at Sapori Trattoria and Cafe Ba Ba Reba.
He founded the charitable organization USTORM with the band Umphrey’s McGee.
Has gotten to know the members of Umphrey’s McGee, mostly their Lead Vocalist, Brendan Bayliss.
Knows the Park West intimately
