We talk with a dear friend Melanie Hood-Wilson, longtime educator and advocate on the front lines of the fight for diversity, equity, and inclusion. In a political and religious environment that wants to brand efforts at inclusivity as "too woke," we continue our "Words into Action" series and dive right in on who benefits from the status quo, who would benefit from change, and examples of what Jesus said--and did--on the matter. Melanie is is the leader and Executive Consultant at Melanie Hood Wilson and Associates, an organization involved in education, advocacy, and hands-on solutions to help organizations and individuals in areas of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), disability advocacy and access, job training for neurodiverse individuals, and more, all with an eye to achieving equity for all people.
