Luke 22:31-34; Psalm 8:6-8; 2 Timothy 2:13;
Romans 5:8; Revelation 12:10; Hebrews 7:25
Notes:
Failure is Not Final.
Failure doesn’t need to be a hitching post to tie us to the past.
Failure can be a guidepost to lead us into the future.
The Bible has never told us to dedicate self. We are to deny self.
A. Peter’s strongest point – Courage
B. Abraham’s strongest point – Faith
C. Moses’ strongest point – Meekness
D. David’s strongest point – Integrity
1. In times of failure, we need to see the Sovereignty of Jesus.
“Faith is believing God in spite of appearances, and obeying God in spite of consequences.”
2. In times of failure, we need to see the Sympathy of Jesus.
Jesus does not change you so He can love you. He loves you so He can change you.
3. In times of failure, we need to see our Security in Jesus.
Now the devil is looking for the flaws; the Lord is looking for the wheat.
Satan may desire you my friend, but he cannot destroy you. Satan may tempt you, but he cannot take you.
Repentance. Crying isn’t what God is looking for. He is not looking at your eyes, He is looking at your heart.
