That's right, in the coming weeks, it's all about monkey business at Not A Bomb. This week, our focus is on the 1988 horror film (?) - “Monkey Shines.” Directed by horror trailblazer George A. Romero, “Monkey Shines” tells the story of a person with quadriplegia who develops an unexpected relationship with a monkey… or rather, a small ape. Throughout its two-hour runtime, Monkey Shines goes to great lengths not to frighten the audience. However, the plot will leave you pondering how frozen brain tissue and Gatorade can forge a telekinetic bond between a small ape and a quadriplegic. Oh, and we dive into one of the most peculiar sex scenes in film history. You simply have to listen to hear all about it.

Monkey Shines is directed by George A. Romero and stars Jason Beghe, John Pankow, Kate McNeil, and Joyce Van Patten.
