However, we stand in the assurance that Jesus Christ has already secured the victory for us. In John 16:33, Jesus tells us that we will face tribulation in this world, and in John 15:18-21, He warns that just as He was persecuted, we too will face persecution. The key difference between us and the world is that Jesus has already triumphed on our behalf.
