A Different Framework for Discipleship (Relational vs Educational)

• The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
• Jesus’ way of discipleship was not a classroom, but teaching as he lived life with his disciples.
• The best spiritual growth happens in the context of relationships.
• The process of tending to the heart and applying the truths of the gospel to all of life is something we call gospel fluency.

Gospel Fluency

• The gospel is good news for my parenting, my career, my finances, my plans, my whole life.
• Definition of discipleship, “moving from unbelief to belief in every area of life in light of the gospel.

Discipleship Vehicles

• The Gathering. Missional Communities. DNA Groups.
• The Gathering is getting the family together once a week for worship, teaching, prayer, and serving.
• Missional Communities are living life and following Jesus together as a family of servant missionaries.
• DNA Groups. Smaller, more intimate setting of 3-4 people of the same gender.
