Michigan State football coach Jonathan Smith has had a lot to do since he took over for disgraced football coach Mel Tucker following last season. It feels like he has had to completely reset the once proud program ahead of the 2024 college football season.

SPARTANS ARE SOLID AT QB

Jonathan Smith doubled down on local recruiting and the transfer portal. And he is bringing some of his best talent with him from Oregon State. That includes quarterback Aiden Chiles. This was his most important transaction. A couple of other Beavers followed him to Michigan State including lineman Tanner Miller and tight end Jack Velling. In all, we think up to 9 of Michigan State's 22 position starters will be kids that transferred in during the past year.

By the way, do you ever wonder what happened to Mel Tucker? We will update you on all of his legal woes as he was still owed $75 million dollars on his contract at the time of his rapid departure from the school.
