Thug Kitchen has been a blog and a cookbook for a few years now and it has sparked conversations in PoC spaces and platforms. People of color have expressed anger and resentment towards the creators of Thug Kitchen due to their appropriation of black culture, slang and oppression. Towards 15:00, we discuss the back story of how Thug Kitchen was created. Around 44:41 we talk about how dehumanizing PoC feelings and emotions is common in white spaces and society and what coded language and phrases are.
