Northern Lights Journey participants Helena Patino de Artaza, Leonie Schiedek, Diana Spurzem, Harry Sutrisno, Aizo Verdonk and Julia Wünsche teamed up in an effort to make cities more sustainable in an era of climate change. In urban spaces grey infrastructure, urban heat island, decreasing biodiversity, mental health and alienation to nature are everpresent problems. With their project, Ice Green Warriors aim to implement more green spaces and to inform local citizens about the benefits and impacts of green rooftops. To have a wider systematic impact they plan to collaborate with the municipality. As Harry said, "our future is a great future, because we are human, we are created to survive: we have challenges and of course we are going to solve them as long as we are still alive!”
