This is important to remember because the way we view evangelism and discipleship matters. There seems to be an understanding of evangelism and discipleship in the Church that puts limitations on both commands. John talks to Brad Briscoe about Bounded vs. Centered Set discipleship, and why those distinctions make a huge difference in our day-to-day discipleship. Brad Brisco directs strategy development for the North American Mission Board. He holds a doctorate in missional ecclesiology; his thesis focused on assisting existing congregations to transition in a missional direction. He also serves on the national leadership team for Forge America Mission Training Network. Brad is the co-author of Missional Essentials, a 12-week small group study guide, The Missional Quest: Becoming a Church of the Long Run, Next Door As It Is In Heaven, and Covocational Church Planting. In this episode, Andrew talks with Ian Harber about deconstruction. More specifically, how to walk with someone who is going through deconstruction. Our western Church culture has a habit of going a mile wide and an inch deep. This causes big problems - on a lot of levels - but especially when behavior modification and church attendance do nothing to help our deeper issues. In this episode, John talks with Dr. Marcus Warner about how to bring freedom to the Body of Christ, and how to work toward spiritual and emotional maturity. Dr. Marcus Warner has served as president of Deeper Walk International since 2006. Marcus earned three degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School – M.Div., Th.M. Old Testament, and D.Min. He has written 16 books on topics ranging from brain science to spiritual warfare including Rare Leadership, The 4 Habits of Joy-Filled Marriages, and Understanding the Wounded Heart. Marcus is a conference speaker and who works with both ministry and corporate groups around the world. A Bible teacher at heart, Marcus has taught Old Testament and Theology as well as serving as a senior pastor for seven years.
